I’m Sharon Lewis, RN, BSN, and owner of Journey 2 Health, LLC. We help seniors and their families find the living situation that best meets their needs.

Whether it’s you or your family who calls us, we want to hear your story, your situation, and what you need to have in your new home.

Once we’ve gotten to know you a little better, we’ll ask you some questions, and start pulling together the details that tell us what placement would be the best.

We’ll ask about:

• Finance
• Preferred Location
• Level of Care
• Add-on Care
• Medical Assessments
• Insurance

If you need to see a doctor or have additional medical tests, we will help you get that arranged.

While we are helping you get the above done, we are also checking local facilities that have availability and meet your requirements.

Once we have identified the best choices that have availability and meet your requirements, we will make an appointment for a tour. We can go with you on the tour if you and your family would like some additional help, but you are not obligated to bring us along.

We will follow up with you after the tour, and also once you have selected a facility. We are always available for you.

Journey 2 Health, LLC never charges families who need our assistance.

We have visited every care community that is recommended and we maintain relations with the staff and knowledge of the service.

Fees are 100 percent covered by the care communities we work with.

I am reluctant to go to a senior community. What’s good about them?

Let’s cut to the chase. You don’t want to live in an institution, and you don’t want anyone in your family to live in one. Places like that exist. We won’t take you to any of them.

The communities in Richmond, Virginia that we recommend range from small houses to mid-sized buildings, or a facility that reminds you of the Hilton. 

We have options at every level of cost and amenities.

In most senior communities you can expect some or all of this:

• Restaurant style meals
• More physical activity
• New friends and peer groups your own age
• Group activities
• Privacy when you want it
• Transportation provided, or bring your own car
• Single cost pricing
• Family no longer having to act as a caregiver
• Safety, and access to help in an emergency

It depends on what you choose!

What we’ll do is go over your current costs, compare them to the senior communities in town, and discuss your own financial situation.
